Hey guys,

So I just bought myself a 199? KDX200. Seller said it was either a 90 or 92, he forgot. She's a little beat up, horrible black painted fenders, gunk all over the engine, but she runs and feels good.

I paid $450 for it, I think I got a steal.

Tomorrow I shall start the tear-down I believe. I always seem to get project bikes, cars, quads and half *** them, but this time I am determined to bring this bike back to full potential.

Former KDX owners - what should I watch out / look for? notorious problems?

The seller told me that he bought it to ride with his buddies a few years ago and its been sitting ever since. He's started it every now and then, but barley rode it (so he says)

Should I bother tearing it down or should I clean it up nice & ride it?
