Default Problems Idling

I have a 2003 KFX 400 and the motor has a hard time staying at one idle speed, It will periodically idle up then idle back down by itself, Also when your riding it and you let off of the gas and pull the clutch in it doesn't idle back down immediately it stay reving kinda high then it will eventually idle down. Any suggestions

Default RE: Problems Idling

What's up? If I were you, I would take it right to a Kawi dealer. Problem is, if you are all stock, you have a very sensitive carb. If your idle adjustment screw isn't helping, you have some internal issues. Is it jetted? Once again , internal problem. Have you taken the airbox lid off. Alot of guys remove the lid to increase air flow and occasionally require re-jetting. If you're all stock, probably need a carb rebuild. Bad gas, the list is long.......
