Problems with 2008 kfx450
I bought a 2008 kfx450 1 week ago and am already very disappointed with my purchase. This was my very first quad I have ever owned, and with less than 10 hrs. of use, it already has problems. If you own this same quad, and have had problems with it since you purchased it, can you please let me know what has gone wrong with it, so I can go back to the dealership withproblems that otherpeople have had with it.I would really appreciate your responses to my problem. Thank you!

My first question would be did you go easy through the break-in period? This is very important to allow the internal parts of the motor to ease into the high temperature that they will be exposed to once you start putting the hammer down. If you came right out of the dealership pounding it hard, you're asking for alot of potential problems, and most seasoned mechanics will know the cause. You weren't specific in your problem areas, so I'm guessing it just isn't running good, which could be many things.
I know the Kawi guys I deal with tell me that the response has been very good as far as this machine goes, and they have sold alot of them. I can give you several example of friends of mine, especially on 2-strokes, that didn't ease into it , and blew motors rather quickly.
If you approach it politically correct, and tell the dealer your situation, they MIGHT work with you on it just to eliminate the bad publicity scenario. If you play hard ball, they can always come back with the abuse factor and the you're out big bucks to get it fixed.
Keep me posted........H
