RE: 07 kawasaki bayou fuel
Bud good luck on getting a reply about Bayou 250's. I am fairly new to this site and it appears no one either rides them or owns them. As for the gas...I wouldn't run anything the manual doesn't recommend, especially if the bike is still under warranty.

RE: 07 kawasaki bayou fuel
Octane doesn't matter on the model you have, unless you don't ride often. The higher the octane the longer the stability of the fuel. The higher octane will make more horsepower, but negledgable amounts in your machine. Higher compression ratios on high performance machines require higher ocatane to prevent preignition which is detrimental to the piston. Bayou 250's are good machines, but keep up your services and don't let them sit and idle for long periods of time. Overheating will burn-up the cam and lifters, evidence from the 220 models. It happens toall that are air cooled, but we see it more in those models in our line up as many kids are riding them.
