Default Stubborn Mule

Hi all. Just found this site and was hoping someone can help me with my stubborn mule problem. I've got a 1999 550 mule that acts like the brakes are stuck on. When I try take off in it, it jerks and bucks like something is holding it back. I jacked up the rear end and the wheels spin freely by hand and it seems like the differential lock/unlock works properly. Anyone have this problem before? Could it be the transmission or rear end or some sort of clutch problem? Once the thing gets rolling it seems sluggish but isn't jerky anymore.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Sounds like a fuel/spark problem.

Thanks for the reply Dragone #19. It's definently not a spark or fuel problem. I'm positive it's a mechanical thing. I was wondering if it couldn't be the chain in the transmission being so slack that it's binding on the gear teeth. Ever heard of anything like that happening? I've got a motor I'm putting back together now and after that I plan on tearing into the mule and seeing what the rearend/final drive are made of.
