Rusting Mule Bolts

Rusting Mule Bolts
Just got a new 2013 Mule 610 in Jan. 2013 and keeping it garaged at my cabin by a lake. Was looking it over last weekend and found about half the M6 black bolts and nuts that secure the load box sides to the floor are rusting and also have white corrosion on them. Also the 4 large black M14 x 1.5 x 36mm fasterers that secure the role cage on the front are doing the same. I replaced the M6 fasteners with a better quality and grade of zinc-coated nut and bolt from SpecBolt. Unfortunately Kawasaki won't do anything for me on warranty because I have no truck or trailer to take my Mule to the dealership for inspection. The M14 roll cage bolts are fine thread (1.5 pitch) and so far impossible for me to find other than from Kawasaki. So I ordered 4 new ones which I plan to clean and paint. Anybody having similar problems with Mule fasteners? I have a 2006 Honda Ruckus I keep in the same shed and only replaced 4 fasteners on it in all these years. I keep my machines pretty clean but not obsessive. Pretty disappointed in the quality of fasteners Kawasaki uses. I use an old rental John Deer Gator at work that sits outside rain or shine and the exterior fasteners look better than some of the ones from my new Mule. Also, any hints for keeping the rest of my Mule 610 fasteners from corroding during winter storage and going forward?
