Default Mule 1000

I'm a fairly new Mule owner, I picked up a 1988 in late fall for $500. Knowing it needed work and was told it had Low compression. When I got it, found it had low compression just like they said. Pulled it apart, then found out could no longer get over sized pistons or std. Sleeves for it. But got luck and friend that owns a machine shop found me a company that manufactures the sleeves. So already long story short got it running, runs good but at idle what sounds like the lower end is noisy. But when you give it throttle or driving it, is not noisy at all. Is that a characteristic of these? And has any one found a way to make the dump bed dump with hydraulics or a linear actuator? Any info would be great
