kawasaki mule 1000 turning motor by hand

ok I need to know how to turn a motor by hand to see if its stuck. its a 1989 Kawasaki mule 1000.

If you take the center plug out of the left side engine cover, put a 14mm socket on the bolt and you can turn it over with a ratchet
