Default Still having trouble w/1990 JS550

I took it to the dealer to have them tell me whats wrong, they charged me $150 and said the carb just needed to be adjusted,so I took it to the lake as soon as I left and it ran like s#*t so I called them and told them they said brig it back and it's there now they indcated that it might be crank seals. Is there any way to check crank seals?

sounds like you have had the same trouble I did. Went thru everything like carbs and fuel system trying to find the problem and in the end it was the crank seal. I am not sure if you can check for bad seals. If there is a way it must have something to do with vacuum which is needed to make the carb operate like it should. If you have a seal out there wont be any vacuum. The line that runs from crankcase to carb is for vacuum make sure that isn't cracked. Still dont know what there run for vacuum in hg?
