98 zxi 1100 oil light flashing
I bought this ski used last week, i took it out three times and ran great except for the last time i went out my oil light was flashing. Is this oil light for the two cycle oil or the crank case oil?

1996 750 zxi starter question.
My ski would not turn on and no lights at all. found ground wire going to what i am guessing as the starter. There is only two bolts holding the unit on and both where loose. Torqued both bolts and it made the ground connection and everything worked. ran for several hours and it came loose again. is there nuts on the starter or just threaded into the block.

If it is like mine it is a 2 stroke (I have 95 750zxi and 900zxi). That means there is no crank case oil. It is the 2-stroke oil. When mine gets low the dash light begins to flash. If you raise the seat and look toward the back there is a plastic container with a gray top and it has a picture of an oilcan on it. There is probably only a fingers worth of oil left. STOP RIDING IT until you refill it with 2-stroke oil. Get the good stuff. I like the synthetic 2 stroke MARINE oil. The marine oil is less smokey you will only appreciate that after a day of riding and you don’t come home smelling like an oil refinery. When you restart it the light will stop blinking. Good luck.

Try removing the sensors from the top of the oil tank. They are held in with a hose clamp. The oil is sent to the engine from the rear of the oil tank via a small hose that conects to a mechanical pump at the front of the engine. Then it is split and sent into all the carbs. Clean the sensors with brake cleaner or somthing similar, let dry as not to contaiminate the oil, and replace. If you have oil in the tank, and the engine smells like you are burning the 2 stroke oil then you are. I have a PDF version of the service manual for your boat. Send me and email and i'll send it to you. If I knew how to post it here I would so everyone could have a go at it.
