Default '97 900 STX-fresh water flush guidelines/priming problem?

I just got a '97 900 STX. It runs great. I just want to know about the fresh water flush option. I have never used this before. What do I need to know before I try to use it and run the ski out of the water. I don't even know where or how to do the hook-up. Also, I am having a priming problem. WhenI haven't started the engine fora while, sometimes an hour or so, the engine loses its prime and I have to manually prime the engine. What is the deal with that? Of course, I have to manually prime the engine by refilling the fuel/water seperator and adding some fuel in each cylinder every time I get ready to launch the ski. Is there a fix for this or is it just something that happens?

There should be a rubber cap on the top of the manifold. You can buy a flush kit from the dealer for about $40 bucks or you can go to the garden department of Home Depot and buy some parts and do it for about $23. If you want to e-mail me @ diveman78210@yahoo.com I will send you some pictures so you will know what to buy. Please put the word Skijet in the subject so I wont think it is spam.
