Hi,

I have recently purchased a ZZR 400K.
The bike had been standing for a long time and was in a bit of a state.

The issue I'm struggling with is as follows,
The bike will not start using the starter.I bridged the starter directly to a power source and it spins and turns the flywheel in a clockwise direction.
Yet the engine doesn't turn over.In an anticlockwise rotation is where there is resistance and the engine turns over(manually turned over on "alternator wheel".) yet the starter does not rotate in that direction!
I have managed to start the bike by push starting it.

The engine seems to be running "smoothly" , it needs a good service!

Please can someone help me!

 

Ok managed to figure it out ��
The previous owner had opened the starter and flipped the bush holder.which was causing the starter to rotate in the WRONG direction!
At least that's sorted!
Now comes the interesting part of fine tuning the Carbs��
