Bogs down badly, diaphragms stutter
I finally got my full engine rebuild completed but now when I give it throttle past 5 grand it Boggs badly and loses power. I pulled the air box off and noticed that when I roll on the throttle, the diaphragms lift a little bit but chatter up and down approx 2-3 mm and a small amount of gas spits out of the needle hole. Any suggestions? Bike: 1985 kaw ninja 600R, 26,000 miles on her.

I have no idea, I've never done that before. My manual says vacuum difference between cylinders is less than 2 cm (0.391 in) Hg. I have the air box pushed up against the carbs but they arnt sealed tightly against the carbs because I wanted to figure out the problem before I tighten the air box to the carbs because it's a bitch to do.

Place your carb synch gauges and check. There is a chance that you bumped the rack during removal and maybe on re-install. You should always check the carb synch anytime the rack is messed with anyways. You are correct on the not more than 2cm hg difference between any two carburetors. You can dial the rack dead nuts using your gauges.
So does the compression tests check out for each cylinder after your rebuild?
All of the smog stuff check out?
I do believe that both of these tests can be done with the airbox off of the carbs without messing up the results.

I synced the carbs good. They read around 14 Hg cm +\- 2 cm. The knocking noise came back so I knew what it was, which was a spun bushings again. Come to find out I believe that journal num 3 needs to be turned down at a shop. So I have a buddy that has a newer (86') engine w less miles that runs good. Gonna slap her in, in the next week or so then hopefully I can get the rubber to the road once again.
