Thanks for the link dirtdreamer, I will register there as well

Bill, mine has an arrow racing pipe and its very loud but I like the tone plus its nice that people will likely hear me coming. It doesn't really bother me likely because my last bike was a Buell XB12s with the Buell racing pipe (pretty much open).

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to KF. Any pics of the new ride?

I do not have the ER6, I am still using the EX500 as my daily driver. So I can only imagine what this ride could be like.

Hi Tylertech. I've never been into loud, even before I became a senior citizen, although I've always felt sort of neutral about the noise issue. But wanting a smaller, sportier bike to complement my '96 Royal Star, I decided to buy a 2006 Yamaha FZ6, and I really got hooked on how smoothly and quietly powerful it is. So after I had my son pick up the ER for me in Illinois(he loved the sound, by the way), I was sort of shocked at how much noise the racing muffler generated.
I checked out your photo. My bike looks exactly the same, but I have added a small windscreen to cut down on high speed buffeting. I wonder if you might decide to do the same after you ride yours for a while.

Hmmm. I think I did that wrong, but check and see if my response got posted to your last message (you mentioned your Buell XB12s).

Bill
Your post showed up.

I stole the pic from the facebook of the guy I bought the bike from and its before he put the arrow pipe on it

I will get some better pictures soon and I have a few small things planned for the bike, one is possibly swapping to a round headlight (more old school) and adding a windscreen. Like this *link on zx6r.com*

I'm pretty happy with the sound, its not cruiser loud for sure but it has a deep sound. As soon as I get it tagged and registered I will clean it up and post a video clip as it seems there are not many decent sound clips on youtube of the exhaust.

Hey guys. I've got an ER6n. Just bought it yesterday. It's a 2006 model in absolute MINT condition with an Arrow performance exhaust. I don't have pics of it yet because I'm picking it up on Saturday but suffice to say it looks exactly like this one (except for the Arrow and mine has a top box since it's for commuting):

Can't wait to ride this badboy.
