Unless you spilled a gallon all over the tires, just wipe it off and get riding. Yes, it will be just a bit slick so don't do anything stupid, but if you've been riding any length of time, you should be able to control it. Find some rural road that has been tar & chipped, or some well-worn gravel road. No worries.

Well I don't think so you should try it on your tires because WD40 eats the rubber and it may also harmful for your tires. So if you want to save your tires then don't use it on tires.
