You don't need to polish that much. I find that some toothpaste on a towel will go a long way in polishing the chrome forks and what not...

I use a waterless polish called Smart Polish Pro. It's a wash and wax that can be sprayed directly onto the dirty bike. The formula lifts the dirt and you wipe off with a microfibre cloth. I then use a second microfibre cloth to buff.
Great for cleaning in the garage too as you don't need water.
Phone camera is cracked ATM but will try and upload a picture when I get it fixed.
