Clutch issues HELP PLEASE
I own a Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800
Alrighty, so I was changing my control cable because the other one had snapped. I thought that I put it all together w/o breaking anyhting and the exact way that it was befor but when I go to drive, pull in the clutch, and it doesn't release now. What could be the issue? of course that this would happen the dday I but several hundred bucks in parts and stuff. Basically, I would like to know if anyone can help, if so post here... or send me an e-mail anything, this is driving me crazy sad mad
cheers and thanks

RE: Clutch issues HELP PLEASE
I can only assume that you would not be foolish enough to try to replace the clutch cable without first obtaining a service manual and carefully following the directions. Be sure that the outer cable end at the clutch lever is fully seated in the adjuster at the clutch lever, or it could slip into place later, creating enough cable play to prevent clutch disengagement. Also be sure to follow the schematic for running the clutch cable correctly, otherwise it will bind. Lastly but of course not leastly... lubricate the cable with a thin coating of grease at each end and lubricate the entire cable with WD-40.
