Hey y'all new to these forums. Just wanted to introduce myself and show off my most recent build. Bought a '97 vulcan 500 almost a year ago and now I'm finally getting around to building it. I have to say, I've owned quite a few bikes so far but this is definitely one of my favorites. All my experience has been with V twins, and this parallel twin has really impressed me. Anyway, I'll post pictures as I go. Hopefully get some feedback from some of the members here.

 

Here is the bike as got it. Obviously someone had intentions on bobbing this bike out already. The quality of the frame modifications is pretty impressive. Bike has nothing wrong with the power train. Does have some small issues such as the front fork seals needing replacement as well as the rear shocks. Also needs a new petcock. Clutch lever shows some damage. The seat is turn around because I almost forgot to take some before pictures. The gas tank was leaking out of the gas cap lock. Turns out the vent hole had some gunk built up. Took a air gun and fixed that. Paint was in rough shape so I decided on a color scheme for the bike and started to sand the tank down. Tank does have 2 good size dents filled with bondo. Currently in the process of sanding that down to see what I'm dealing with. May attempt to knock the dents out some or just bondo it back up again. Not quite sure how to share the album so I hope I can figure it out.
