Default Should I keep my 1996 Vulcan 1500 classic

I just got a 1996 Vulcan 1500 classic with a rebuilt tranny in it. Now, I find out they are known for having tranny issues. Mine works ok with a solid kick shifting from 1st to 2nd. Is it worth keeping this thing or have I bought a lemon?

If you love it, ride it. Any old bike thats been ridden hard will have issues with 2nd gear, mine is just starting to get it. if its really bad you may want to get it fixed or skip 2nd entirely till you decide to move on, but I wouldnt sell right away unless you get a great offer.

That is good advice Prom. I do love it and I want to ride it, it's just that if I could get out now before another expensive tranny repair, then maybe I should. Supposedly the transmission in the 96 was crap.
