Considering Lowering My Bike

Considering Lowering My Bike
I'm considering lowering my bike. I have a 1997 Vulcan 1500 Classic. My main concern would be the shaft drive. I wanted to lower the rear about 2 inches but I don't what the tolerances on the shaft drive are and if it will allow me to lower the bike. Any suggestions?

RE: Considering Lowering My Bike
i'd look into a nice, low corbin seat..lol
you shouldn't have any trouble with 2".... its splined far enough to accept the axial play..
you gonna lower the front, too?
it makes a hell of a difference in the ride height..
you might be able to get away 1" drop front and rear, and a lower seat.. and be very comfortable..
don't wanna drop too far.. you lose your cornering abilities!
(trust me.. low 7-R.lol)
